Over The Road Hits FAQs
Find quick answers about traffic exchanges, earning credits, and sending visitors to your website.
What is a traffic exchange?
A traffic exchange is an online service where website owners trade traffic. When you view websites submitted by other Over The Road Hits members, you earn credits that can be assigned to your own website. Other members then view your site through the exchange.
How do I receive hits?
Use the Surf option in the members area to view sites from other members. You earn credits as you surf. Assign those credits to your website to place it into rotation and receive visitors.
How do traffic credits work?
Traffic credits determine how often your website can be displayed in the exchange. Credits remain in your account until you assign them to a site. Once assigned, they are used as your site receives views.
Can I promote more than one website?
You can add multiple websites from the members area, subject to the limit included with your membership level. You may distribute your available credits between your sites based on the campaigns you want to prioritize.
Can I also promote banner and text ads?
Yes. Over The Road Hits supports website, banner, and text advertising. Available placements and impression balances can be managed from the corresponding advertising sections in your members area.
Why should I verify my email address?
Email verification confirms that your address is valid and helps protect your account. Complete verification promptly so you can continue using your Over The Road Hits membership without interruption.
